Article: Cable broadband subscriber growth reached an all-time low in the fourth quarter of 2024 despite flat and slowing subscriber growth among fiber and fixed wireless access (FWA) competitors, MoffettNathanson found in its latest analysis of the US broadband sector.

US cable operators saw broadband subscriber growth dip to -1.6% in the period, marking the industry’s fifth-consecutive “worst ever” result, MoffettNathanson noted in the report (registration required). US cable operators, including estimates for private operators such as Cox Communications and Mediacom Communications, lost 431,000 broadband subs in Q4, compared to a year-ago loss of 167,000.
