GREENWICH, Conn. — Local officials announced today that more than $28 Million Infrastructure Grant Package improvements throughout Greenwich, marking one of the largest infrastructure investments in the town’s recent history.
Comprehensive Development Plan
The funding package will support multiple infrastructure projects across Greenwich, addressing both existing needs and future growth requirements. The Department of Public Works will oversee the implementation of these improvements through a structured development plan.
“Broadband is a necessary part of daily life and bringing high-speed Internet access to every community in the state is essential for our future,” DEEP Commissioner Katie Dykes said. “The ConneCTed Communities Grant Program was developed with the goal of reaching every unserved and underserved location in the state, preparing our communities with the infrastructure they’ll need in the years to come.”
Project Priorities
Key initiatives identified for the funding include:
- Flood mitigation improvements in low-lying areas
- Bridge rehabilitation and replacement projects
